Tips to help you lighten your meals:

Skinless chicken:
Much of the fat and calories found in poultry is found in the skin, so removing it can be the best method of improving your health and saving some calories. Skinless chicken breast has 11% of fat, while the one with skin contains 49% fat, so these create the perfect solution when opting to eat healthy and light.
Low fat products
On one hand, milk and dairy ,provide a number of essential nutrients like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and protein, but on the other hand they also provide a large amount of fat and saturated fats. Low fat milk and dairy products provide a solution not only in weight management but also to those wishing to lower their saturated fat intake, to continue to consume important nutrients the body needs in order to function normally.
More vegetables
Try replacing one carbohydrate loaded dish with vegetables, like mashed califlower or carrots instead of potatoes. Eating a diet lighter in carbohydrates is an efficient way to manage your weight, not to mention the fact that it helps improve triglycerides, improves insulin sensitivity, increases HDL ( good ) cholesterol and decreases blood pressure.
