This is our family favorite banana bread recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar*
- 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup vegetable oil*
- 2 eggs or 1/2 cup egg substitute
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Spray or grease a bread loaf pan (9x5x3) and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together (or you may mix the wet and dry ingredients separately) and mix until all ingredients are well mixed.
- Pour into prepared bread pan and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a knife inserted in center of bread comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes. Slice bread and serve with fresh fruit.
- Yield: 1 bread loaf
- *For a moist bread, use 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup oil.
