Part I Ingredients
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
Part II Ingredients
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 cups pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup chocolate chips or a little more, if desired
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. You may want to lower your top rack, to prevent from browning too soon. Grease a 9×5 inch bread pan and set aside.
In a large bowl mix all the part I ingredients. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix all the part II ingredients, except chocolate chips. Add to the part I ingredients and mix until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips and pour batter into bread pan and bake for 1 hour and 8 min or until a knife comes out clean.
