6. Allow your body to recover:
Another important step in having a good workout routine is having a recovery period. Many people start working out overzealously and end up with muscle and joint injuries causing them to give up. As important as the workout, is the recovery period. Plan time between sessions to allow your body to rest and replenish. Is is important in this period to give your body all the high quality nutrients it needs to recover.
7. Love music:
Get into music any way you can. Make a workout mix of your favorite songs and dance your way through your workout. Music will not only make your workout fun but can help with your self-esteem as well as your dancing skills.
8. Gear up:
Comfort is key. So look for clothing that move moisture away from the body as quickly as possible. Take care not to overdress. Keep cool by wearing as little clothing as you feel comfortable in. Most important of all, make sure you’re wearing a good pair of workout shoes. They need to be supportive and specific to the activity you plan to do.
9. Hydrate during exercise:
Except for oxygen, there’s nothing your body needs more than an adequate supply of water. And the more you exercise, the more important it is to drink the right amount of water before, during, and after your workouts. The goals of fluid intake during exercise are to prevent dehydration from occurring. One good way to figure out whether you need to drink something during your workout is to simply weigh yourself just before and after a typical workout. If your weight change is more than 2% of your starting weight, then in the future, you should drink enough water during your workout.
10. Reward yourself:
For every pound you lose, put an amount of money in your piggy bank, that you can eventually break open an spend on better fitting clothes. This is a good motivation tool for staying on track with your workout plan.
Live life, Enjoy it and Eat well.
