Knowing the right serving size makes a big difference. A lot of people overestimate how big a serving size is, and end up eating more than they expect.

Here are more guidelines to help you eat the right serving size.

Bread should be the size of a CDBread

The correct serving size for bread should be one slice, that has the size of a CD case.

This will provide you with about 70 calories. Choose whole grain bread that will provide you with a lot of dietary fiber, important vitamins and mineral like calcium, iron and zinc.

Pasta serving is the size of a baseballPasta

For pasta, whether you choose spaghetti or penne, the correct amount is that of the size of a baseball.

This will provide you with about 150 calories. Enjoy your favorite pasta without going overboard. And if you feel like you are not satisfied, just add a big green salad next to your pasta and you will be satisfied in no time.
